Do Stores Spy On You?

From now on for a while I'll be talking about issues. This time I have decided to ... well you get where I going at, right.

Do stores spy on you? Even if you don't realize, some stores track you as soon as you step in their property. There are many ways to track you. Your phone is one example. Many retailers and malls now track mobile phones so they can track and record hot spots. There are sometimes (the thing I think is the creepiest) cameras in the eyes of mannequins.  There are many others but I'm not going into detail.

On one side malls and retailers can realize what brands more people are looking at. They can see what type of people look at what goods. They can realize if they want to buy more of one item or not.
But the same can be said for the other side. Cameras can detect what your ethnicity, age, gender, and even your body language. They can even peer into your bank accounts.

Some people don't want that kind of "no-privacy-zones". While others say it can be useful. Cisco (a network company) recently tested a network that connects your phone to the WiFi as soon as you step into the shop.

Is this useful or not? You decide in the comments.
